A political activist has warned Nairobi governor Evans Kidero to stop parading himself as a 'Nairobian' maintaining that he is an outsider.
Brian Weke on Tuesday revealed that the notion suggesting that Kidero was born in Nairobi is founded on falsity and is only aimed at endearing him to voters in the 2017 polls.
Speaking during an evening show on Radio Jambo, the youthful politician confessed that he was part of a group that peddled the narrative that Kidero was born in Nairobi to ensure he won the gubernatorial seat easily.
"Let Kidero not lie to anyone that he was born in Nairobi. He is an outsider who was born in Homa Bay.In fact, it was me alongside other individuals who spread that notion just of ensuring he won the seat. However he has since failed to deliver and will lose badly in 2017," he said.
He added that Kidero's regime had been very oppressive to the very voters and singled out boda boda-boda operators as the most mistreated.
Weke who is also the CEO of the Institute for Education in Democracy (IED) said should former MP Peter Kenneth make good his plan to contest for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat then he would defeat Kidero.
