If Nairobi gubernatorial elections were held today, the incumbent Governor Evans Kidero would retain his seat.

This is according to opinion poll results by research firm Infotrak.

The pollster on Monday said 35.3 per cent of those sampled said they would vote for Kidero, 23 per cent for Senator Mike Sonko and 20.2 per cent for Peter Kenneth.

Both Sonko and Kenneth are seeking to unseat the ODM governor come August 8.

800 respondents participated in the survey.

Other aspirants, Miguna Miguna got 1.2 per cent support, Margaret Wanjiru 0.9 per cent, Esther Passaris 0.7 percent while Dennis Waweru got 0.6 per cent support.

Surprisingly, 18 per cent of those sampled said they were still undecided on who to vote for.

The Jubilee Party is yet to pick its candidate to take on ODM's Kidero.

Sonko, Kenneth, Waweru and Wanjiru are all seeking the party's ticket.
