Nairobi governor Evans Kidero could soon join the list of governors who have faced the impeachment scare from the county representatives should a City Hall MCA make true his threat to dethrone him.
This comes after Viwandani MCA Samwel Nyangwara revealed that he is working with more than 10 other MCAs to file an impeachment motion against Kidero once the county representatives return from recess.
“We gave Cord power but what has it done? We will impeach the governor and work with Jubilee,” Mr Nyangwara said on Sunday.
“Nine MCAs are with Jubilee during the night and pretend to be faithful to Cord during the day,” he added.
Jubilee and CORD now have an equal number of members in the county assembly after Nyangawara's fallout.
Things may as well become thick for Kidero if the MCA manages to woo those in Cord to his side.
Critics have perceived this as a resurgence bu Jubilee to wrestle power back from Cord who have dominated the doors of power at City Hall assembly sessions.
In case the impeachment goes through, Kidero will be the first governor to b successfully impeached after other similar attempts were halted by court and the Senate.
