Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero is behind a plot to rig Nairobi County ODM nominations set for April 25, in favor of aspirants allied to him, according to Kenya Today.

Kenya Today alleges that ODM National Election Board has "delegated" its primary mandate of conducting the primaries to Kidero through his privately run campaign secretariat based in Lavington.

"The ODM National Election Board has abdicated it's primary mandate and relinquished it entirely to Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero through his privately run Lavington based campaign secretariat EK center," reports Kenya Today.

The publication claims that the biggest fear for ODM aspirants in the city who are not allies to Kidero is the unfettered access of the governor in the inner workings of the National Election Board (NEB).

It further says several aspirants who have smelled a rat on the Kidero plot held an impromptu meeting with ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday afternoon to request for investigation on the issue just to ensure there is a level playing field on April 25th.

It is also claimed that the selection of Nairobi Elections Board was not fair since most of the officials elected are known Kidero's henchmen, including Harriet Achieng, Paul Aol, Pastor Lumumba, and George Ndonji.

The big question, however, remains will ODM nomination process be fair Nairobi?
