Kelvin Kimani, the four-year old boy who was kidnapped from his home in Thika on Friday has been rescued by the Flying Squad, and reunited with his family.
The gang radided the family’s home in Thika’s section 9 on Friday, before taking off with the boy and demanded a ransom.
Three suspects have been arrested so far, two of which are women together with a driver, and the vhicle they were using impounded.
Four people had already been arrested and were in custody including a neighbor to the family.
Early in the day, the suspects had demanded Sh2.2 million in ransom, but the family was yet to pay the cash.
When the family received the news, it was jubilation as those who had been camping at the family house broke into celebratory songs and dance, ahead of being reunited with the child.
The boy was found safe and sound, and had been taken to Ruaka, before being moved to Kasarani’s Garage area where he was found.
