Area MCA Chege Waithumbi opposed the acts of continued dumping of waste at the incomplete dumpsite.

Area residents are as well demanding such actions to be shelved till completion.

“The county government needs to shelve this reckless dumping in the incomplete dump site which is becoming harzadous to our health,“ said area MCA on Thursday.

Residents have also spoken.

“We are shocked to find them endangering our lives daily but nobody cares about it not even the county government," said John Kimani a resident.

Esther Wambui said, "The dumpsite is emitting bad smell that we are unable even to stay in our houses. Let something be done to alleviate the situation."

Despite assurances by Governor Ferdinand Waititu that the dumpsite matter will be dealt with smoothly, Kiganjo residents have opposed the continued dumping in the dumpsite without them being consulted or involved.

Residents are now saying that they cannot put up with the dumpsite activities before it's complete.
