Gatundu North MP Kigo Njenga has affirmed his full support for the speaker of the national assembly Justin Muturi.
Speaking at St Francis Catholic Church in Mang’u on Sunday, Kigo condemned the leader of the expected censure motion against Muturi, calling it uncalled for.
The constituency boss said that corruption will only end if parties plead guilty and seek to change their traits.
“Corruption is everywhere and indeed we cannot change this country if we do not admit our mistakes and reform; leaders should show integrity, transparency and accountability if they really are up to helping Kenyans,” he added.
“Rebuking the speaker against allegations is very bad and instead elected leaders should serve wananchi before the end of their term,” noted the MP.
The MP was also against propositions of scrapping Christian Religious Education (CRE) subject from the education curriculum, saying it will affect the growth of young children.
“CRE is a subject that if removed from the system would corrupt the morals of our children, it should remain if only we need to spur good morals for our children; church leaders should also pose a campaign to fight devil worship and those atheists that are after destroying the nature of Christianity,” he said.
Area MCAs called upon their leader to develop infrastructure in the area, where Kairi-Mataara road was mentioned to be under development.
