Angry youth stormed the Jumuiya hotel where they allegedly roughed up women whom they suspected of buying ID cards.

And speaking to Citizen TV's Opinion Court on Thursday evening,the former Nakuru county assembly speaker said the violence was unfortunate and ought to be reprimanded."That was an attack on harmless women and it was very unfortunate. It must be condemned in the strongest terms possible", she said.She further challenged the National Super Alliance (Nasa) leadership to come forth and also condemn the incident saying it was their supporters who were claerly behind it.According to the protesters,the said women had been sent by Jubilee to buy Identification Cards from residents ahead of the October 17 repeat presidential polls.However the women who were mostly drawn from the Nyanza region,said their meeting was an inter religious convention which had nothing to do with politics.
