Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika, who was appointed Jubilee’s campaign team leader, convened her first meeting with county leaders on Wednesday.
Kihika met Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, Mps and senators from Nakuru as she strategized on how they will approach Jubilee campaigns in Nakuru.
According to sources, the meeting was to iron out any differences among the leaders in a bid to approach the campaigns united.
Several MCAs and Mps have opposed Kihika’s appointment saying she lacks the ability of uniting leaders.
Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri termed the appointment ‘joke of the year’.
Nominated MCA Margret Kiiru had even threatened to decamp Jubilee over Kihika’s inclusion in the campaign team.
During her meeting, Kihika promised to include all as they focus on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy reelection.
