Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika on Wednesday had a rough time from Kenyans on Twitter after a tweet which roped in Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Kihika was making a reference to the Tuesday press conference by Mr Orengo.
Susan Kihika, a member of the Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee party, told Orengo that the only body mandated to hold elections as ordered by the Supreme Court is IEBC.
Nakuru senator went on to tag the Senior Counsel who represented Raila Odinga in the petition telling him she can DM him the ruling.
Her post did not go down well with Kenyans on Twitter as they asked the Nakuru senator why she would even think of calling out a lawyer who won a presidential election petition.
Kihika's post read as follows:
“As opposed to what? Am assuming you have had a chance to glance at the ruling by Maraga's Supreme Court? Orengo, in case you haven't I can DM it?”
She added: “Glad it's all systems go! Kenyans are ready for 26/10 & IEBC is ready too. Let's get these elections behind us & we can move on already.”
Mr Orengo however ignored and tweeted a contradicting message about the botched IEBC meeting at the Bomas of Kenya.
“Nothing has been agreed upon. We have not shut the path of dialogue. Uchaguzi bora. Si bora uchaguzi,” Orengo tweeted.
