Speaking on Tuesday, Kihika said the current leadership has failed.

"The current leadership in the county is wanting. I want to offer servant leadership and make Nakuru people feel represented nationally and globally," she said.

"Service is what people crave for. Better health services, improved infrastructure and improved living standards. People are demanding change. I seek to ensure they receive these services," She added.

Kihika will be seeking to replace Senator James Mungai who has already declared interests in the governor's seat. Kihika will go head to head with Nakuru veteran politician Koigi Wa Wamwere and Karanja Kabage.
