Nakuru County Speaker Susan Kihika has appealed to the National Transport Safety Authority (NTSA) to put more effort in reducing the accidents at Salgaa, Mai Mahiu and Kinungi Naivasha.
Kihika said many lives have been lost on the black spots yet there is an authority meant to ensure road accidents are contained.
"I would like to appeal to NTSA to up their efforts in reducing the accidents at the black sports on Nakuru-Nairobi and Nakuru-Eldoret Highways,"she said.
Kihika was speaking on Sunday evening when he joined family and friends of Esther Wangechi for a funds drive at their home in Kabazi.
Esther was involved in a road accident and Kihika took the moment to wish her quick recovery.
Kihika's appeal to the NTSA comes barely 3 days after 5 members from the same family perished through a road accident at Salgaa stretch.
