"I congratulate His Excellency Deputy President William Ruto and Joshua Arap Sang on the decision of the ICC that they have no case to answer at The Hague. I commend the DP for his commitment to the rule of law and his humility to subject himself to the ICC process with the hope that justice would be served. And indeed, it has been served. As the people of Nakuru and as Kenyans, we rejoice that the withdrawal signals a close to a dark chapter in our history," Kihika said.

She has also stated that this is an opportunity to prove that the solutions to Kenyans problems lie with them.

"We must now take the opportunity to embrace each other as Kenyans and to prove to the world that indeed the solution to our problems can only be home made. We will show that our unity of purpose is our strength and cohesion will be our goal," Kihika said.

In addition, she has taken the opportunity to welcome all Kenyans to a thanksgiving prayer for the said decision which will be held at Afraha Stadium on April 16.

"As the leadership of Nakuru, we heed the President's call for thanksgiving prayers at Afraha Stadium on Saturday, April 16th, 2016. We welcome Kenyans from across the country to come join us as we commit our country, our citizens and our leaders to God in prayers," she added.
