Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has expressed confidence that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will realize their promises to the nation.
In a statement on her Facebook page after the two were inaugurated to start their second term, Kihika also expressed hopes that the two will achieve more in their second term than in the concluded one.
''I look forward to president Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto's second term as I have no doubt that they will deliver on their manifesto,'' she said.
The president, after his swearing-in, promised to give agriculture and food production the first priority in his second term vowing to improve agricultural produce storage facilities and introduce improved farming technology towards the realization of the same.
According to Uhuru, this will not only establish food stability but also avail affordable foodstuff.
He also promised to increase job openings to absorb the rising number of unemployed Kenyans, mostly young graduates released by universities annually.
Also in the Jubilee promise list was the introduction of half a million new housing units to address the current shortage and rising rent costs.
