Nakuru senator hopeful Susan Kihika has cautioned youth against being used by selfish politicians to perpetuate violence as the country gears up to the August 8 general election.
Kihika wants youth to be careful with the politicians they are engaging with and reject any attempts to be lured into violence.
In an interview on Citizen TV on Friday, Kihika asked youth be ambassadors of peace.
The senator aspirant asked young people to take the front-line role in uniting Kenyan communities ahead of the August 8 polls.
“I am appealing to young people to keep off politicians who might want to use them as agents of violence this election period,” she said.
The senator hopeful said that young people fall vulnerable to selfish politicians during election period.
She urged youth to report politicians who will approach with the intention of using them to cause chaos.
She said it is wrong for selfish politicians to take advantage of youth vulnerability.
Kihika is seeking the senatorial seat on a Jubilee Party ticket and has exuded confidence of clinching the seat.
