Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika is courting hawkers as she plans to run for Nakuru Senator. She assured small business people in Nakuru of a conducive environment for their businesses.
Speaking on Saturday when she met hawkers' leadership led by their chairman Simon Ole Nasieku, the county speaker called on hawkers in Nakuru to work closely with elected leaders to ensure smooth run of their business.
Kihika informed the hawkers' leaders that their businesses can only excel if they have a good working environment.
"As small business people in Nakuru county, you should know that your business can only succeed if the environment is conducive"said Kihika.
The meeting also highlighted on challenges faced by hawkers in Nakuru and how to address them.
The Speaker advised hawkers to unite and avoid engaging in business wrangles.
