Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has urged Kenyans to assist the government in its bid to wipe out the road accident menace.

Speaking when she attended a service at the Kingdom Seekers Fellowship Church Sunday, the Senator advised travelers to speak out whenever they witness any road misconduct.

She said that the same will tame overspending and careless drivers who are out to make a kill this festive season.

''Travelers need to speak out when drivers engage in reckless driving. Don't let the driver overtake carelessly especially as they rush to make a kill this festive season,'' said the Senator.

She further pledged to give it her all to see a reduction of accidents at the Salgaa/Sachang'wan area along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

The area has been notorious for accidents and has since been declared a black spot with Kihika stressing on the need to have the road redesigned as the government proceeds with rectification.

''Even though some of these accidents are caused by human error, we must also admit that something is wrong with the road design as it is now,'' she added.

She also asked Kenyans to pray for the nation and for road safety.
