Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika has called on all tribes in Nakuru to unite in order to foster peace and development.
Addressing a section of community leaders at the County Assembly on Wednesday, the speaker noted that unity is paramount in Nakuru for peace and development agenda.
She added that there is need for all leaders to unite the people in the county.
"We cannot move the development agenda when there is no unity in this country and thus a need for the unity of this county and nation at large,"she said.
The iron lady, as many now know her, said as we head to the 2017 general election, there is need for each citizen to preach peace, love and unity.
She called on women and youths to join various empowerment groups for easier way of benefiting from government funding.
Kihika said she is focused to clinch Nakuru Senator seat in the 2017 poll.
