The Kikuyu community have been urged to ensure that they get more children so that they can continue to enjoy the ‘tyranny of numbers’.
County DP patron Thuo Ndua has said that the population in Kiambu was reducing. Speaking to the press yesterday in Kimabu town, Ndua implied that the presence of illicit brews were part of a coordinated effort to eliminate their community.
"We need to urge our people to give birth since majority of them are not giving births hence the community of Kikuyu is reducing. Kikuyu community is under very serious threats due to the social ills which has left many young people impotent. Our political enemies have gone ahead to dump some killer brews in our counties so that it can render our youths impotent hence reducing our population,” Ndua said.
Ndua went ahead and said that the county government should work hard to ensure that all the illicit brews in the county are eliminated.
"The ministry of health last week released a report that showed that the Mt Kenya region and also Nairobi were recording very low birth rates. Something needs to be done to ensure that we remain the community with the highest population in this country,” Ndua said.
Ndua went ahead and urged the Kikuyu elders to stop their constant quarrelling and to concentrate on development issues.
“I always wonder what our leaders quarrels about. They should stop arguments that are not relevant to them and concentrate on things that will help the common mwananchi,” Ndua said.
