Kiambu Kikuyu elders chairman Wachira Kiago wants the government to investigate and name those who killed Kabete MP George Muchai.

Speaking to the media at Kikuyu town on Thursday, the elder said that the perpetrators of Muchai’s death must be dealt with accordingly.

The elder who condemned the killing said that death has robbed the county a hardworking and dedicated leader.

“The government should not leave any stone unturned concerning the killing of Muchai,” said Kiago.

The Kikuyu elder raised concerns over the state of insecurity in some parts of the county and called on the government security agencies to work on it.

He alleged that criminals have been given space to roam freely and cause havoc to residents.

The elder added that the government must work towards guaranteeing safety of Kenyans and their property.

He added that security of citizens should be given priority and the government must exercise its powers on matters touching safety.

The elder on the same note, described Muchai as a loving person who was willing and ready to help locals.

He added that the late legislator was dedicated to serving Kabete people and vowed to fight poverty and unemployment.
