Addressing a press conference in Nakuru town on Tuesday, the elders said that compemsating the IDPs will be the biggest relief on the government.

This is after IDPs held a series of demonstrations calling for compoensation.

“We ask the Jubilee Government that before the forthcoming General Election … all IDPs should be compensated and that will bring peace since everyone will have his/her place”, said Gilbert Kabage the group's patron.

The national coordinating secretariat on resettlement of IDPs led by Adan Wachu last week kicked off nationwide profiling and verification of integrated IDPs with a view to compensating them.
