A section of Kikuyu elders have said that secession debate is ill-advised.
According to Gatundu South elders, the move will divide Kenya's tribes.
"It would be against the wishes and aspirations of the country’s founding fathers to imagine, dream or encompass division," Gatundu branch chairman Kariuki Kibathi is quoted by the Star.
"This is not what they fought and sacrificed form," he added.
The elders were speaking during a Thanksgivings ceremony at Ichaweri in Gatundu South on Friday.
Economist David Ndii has publicly shown support for the secession claiming that those not satisfied have a choice to call for separation.
They further called on NASA chief Raila Odinga to concede for the sake of peace.
