The Kikuyu Council of elders has cracked the whip on a section of its members who endorsed Nairobi governor Evans Kidero for re-election.

The council has suspended 17 elders for allegedly endorsing Kidero and at the same time cursing media owner S.K Macharia.

According to Nation, the elders cursed Macharia for allegedly having a different political stand with the Kikuyu community.

The elders calling themselves Kiama Kia Ma Kikuyu Council have denied any involvment in the two actvities.
