A 26-year-old man accused of stealing property worth Sh342,000 from a cyber cafe in Kikuyu has been remanded for 10 days.

Kikuyu Chief Magistrate James Ogweno allowed the application by the prosecution who say Jeremiah Kimani could lead the police in arresting his alleged accomplices and also identify where the property was taken.

Kimani and three others are suspected to have robbed a cyber cafe on theOctober 23, armed in pistols and stole 25 computers, a printer and a photocopy machine.

They are said to have used a lorry to carry the goods and escaped.

However, on the October 24, police arrested the accused at his house in Kinoo after members of the public reported to the police and they allegedly recovered a pistol and six bullets.

Alice Nzomi, the prosecutor, said that remanding him for more investigations would help in arresting his alleged accomplices.

The case will be heard on the November 5.
