Kikuyu and Kalenjin elders have said they will perform a ritual at the Salgaa blackspot over increased road crashes.
The Rift Valley Council of Elders said there is need to talk to ancestors to end the accidents.
Also, another group of elders from Eldoret said they will also perform a traditional prayer along the road.
"We prayed at Sachangwan four years ago and the accidents stopped until recently. We will pray again this year as we believe whatever is happening is not natural but satanic and we will use our powers to stop it," said their secretary general Samuel Kiragu
"What we'll be doing is to cleanse that road and we shall be conducting a yearly cleansing of all the roads across the country," he added.
