Kikuyu leaders in Uasin Gishu have urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to retain Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjiri in his government.
Led by Huruma Ward MCA Peter Chomba said they Kiunjuri has done his job well, therefore, deserves a second chance.
“As Kikuyu leaders from this region we have faith in Kinjuri and we humbly ask President Kenyatta to reappoint him in his new cabinet which will be formed in a few days to come,” he said in Eldoret town, Tuesday.
“It is sad that some politicians from the former central province have been paid to bring him down in preparation for the 2022 elections and we know its Kinjuri who is being fought but it’s the Kikuyu nation so that we may not get that docket, we won’t allow that to happen under our watch,” he added.
Chomba, however, called upon President Kenyatta to form an all-inclusive government that will bring on board all tribes regardless whether they voted for him or not.
