Kikuyu Township MCA has pledged to educate four orphans whose parents died a year ago in a road accident. Speaking at a fund raising today, Binary Wainaina said that he would educate the children up to university level.
The fund raiser was aimed at raising money to educate the children who are aged 14, 10, 8 and 5. The MCA said that children are the leaders of tomorrow and they should be catered for to ensure they achieve their dreams.
Wainaina added that he would take the children to good schools and ensure they are well catered for.
He also vowed to be their guardian and follow up with their performance in school. The MCA said that he would be visiting them at their uncle’s place to check on their progress. The children’s uncle, Noel Mwangi thanked the MCA for lending a helping hand because he had no means to educate the children.
Mwangi said that he has three biological children whom he is currently struggling to educate and his late brother’s children are still his responsibility.
“I had to call on residents for a fund raiser to facilitate these children education. I am grateful to those who came to support me. I am also very grateful to our MCA whose presence shows how dedicated he is to helping the needy people within his ward,” said Mwangi.
