A section of Kikuyu residents have decried poor state of Dagorretti-Kikuyu road saying it is in a 'total mess'.
This is after the road started to split into two.
Residents say they have been complaining to the county government for long but no action has been taken.
The road connects Kikuyu to Dagorreti and if an action is not taken, residents worry that the road may become life-threatening.
Residents last weekend came out to express their views asking the county government to come in and help.
"Waititu take an action or let our road sink.We have been complaining for almost six months but no one has come to our rescue," posted Evans Njiri on Facebook.
Another Facebook user said that the road is of much importance to Kikuyu and Dagorreti people.
"This is the road that we people of Kikuyu and Dagorreti use to transport our goods to the market.Take an action please," Abigael Njoki said.
Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu had promised to repair the road during campaigns but residents feel he is taking too long to fulfill his promise.
