Ainabkoi member of parliament William Chepkut has urged the Kikuyu nation to support deputy president William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid. He said the Kalenjin community supported president Kenyatta 100 percent in the 2013 and 2017 presidential elections."As the Kalenjin nation we voted for president Uhuru Kenyatta  man to man so come 2022 we expect people from Central to support us 100 percent," he said in Eldoret town, Saturday.

"Deputy President William Ruto has done a lot to this country and once given a chance he will transform this country due to the experience he has after serving as an MP, Minister and now the deputy president,” he added. He, however, warned opposition leader Raila Odinga against calling for his swearing-in as the people’s president terming it ill-intended."This is uncalled for since the country cannot have two presidents. He should tone down till 2022 where he will face deputy president William and for sure he will be defeated," noted Chepkut."For how long will this country be in an electioneering period, for heaven sake Kenyans want development and not mere politics," he added.
