Kilifi women representative Aisha Jumwa has raised fear over her life after receiving an alleged threatening phone call.
Addressing the press at Governor Amason Kingi's official residence in Kilifi, Jumwa said she allegedly received a call mid-morning on Monday from a man who identified himself as Waithaka.
Waithaka who introduced himself as the Coast Region GEMA community chairperson explained that he made the call in regards to Jumwa's statement which she made at a youth meeting on Saturday where she addressed the president in manner Waithaka felt was inappropriate.
According to Jumwa, Waithaka allegedly stated he was speaking on behalf of President Kenyatta and the GEMA community and in a threatening manner saying they are watching her closely.
However the women rep said that she would not be intimidated by anybody and firmly holds her political stand in the Cord coalition come what may.
In his part, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi challenged President Uhuru to come out clear on the matter saying it was the responsibility of the president to unify all communities and not tear the country apart along tribal lines.
