Kathiani Member of Parliament Robert Mbui has asked the government to borrow a leaf from China in fighting corruption by jailing and killing those found culpable of graft.
Speaking in Mitaboni, Mbui said corruption has been a problem in the country and the government has failed in fighting it.
"Those found culpable of graft should be exterminated if possible by firing squad, graft is slowly but surely eating away our country as we watch," he warned.
The Wiper MP said it's an obvious thing since people who were involved in graft are holding high positions in the country.
"We need to devise methods of fighting crime totally. We know people who were charged with corruption but now they are leaders in high positions," he said.
Speaking on Monday in a separate event, former Yatta MP Francis Mwangangi said thorough probe should be conducted to 'smoke out' the big fishes involved in the graft.
"Two or three people couldn't steal such amount of money, there are big people involved and investigations should be conducted to bring them out," said Mwangangi noting that justice won't be served if the real perpetrators in the scandal are not smoked out.
"In the first NYS scandal only minor associates were arrested and that's why justice wasn't served as they were later set free, the government should be vigilant this time and prove it can fight graft", he added.
