Claims of the 'killer student' being a student of the Kisii University have been refuted by the same university.
The student is said to have stabbed his girlfriend to death in Moi university. Thereafter there were allegations that Kevin was a student at Kisii university's Eldoret campus.
Kevin Cheruiyot as earlier identified was murdered by a mob after he killed his former girlfriend Cecilia Cheruto, 23 who was a student at Moi university in Eldoret.
The said boyfriend is alleged to have stabbed Cecilia after visiting her room in Eldoret West.
Kisii university's security claims that the he is not listed in their records.
"We found out that his name was Abraham Cheruiyot from Kaiboi in Nandi county, such a person is not in our database," said Kisii university's security manager Simon Orora.
