A woman accused of killing her husband was on Tuesday arrested by police officers at their home in Umoja estate Kiambu County.
The woman Monica Wangui allegedly stabbed his husband Bernard Kinuga on Friday last week after a domestic quarrel.
James Kiania, father to the deceased said the woman called her informing him that his son stabbed himself.
“I received a call from my son’s wife asking me to go to their house because my son had stabbed himself at around 11 pm on Friday,” said Kiania.
The father said Kinuga’s body was on the sofa set with a kitchen knife lodged in his chest.
Kiania said Wangui and Kinuga used to fight constantly.
The cousin to the deceased who requested for anonymity said Kinuga didn’t show any sign of suicidal.
Police said the suspect will be arraigned in court on Thursday to face murder charges.
Kinuga’s body is currently lying at Kimabu Level 5 hospital mortuary.
