Fears have gripped Nakuru town and its surroundings following the killing of four people in just three weeks.

Residents of Kivumbini, Kwa Rhoda, Kaptembwa, Flamingo, Kaloleni, Bondeni, Kiamunyeki, Karatina and Free area estates have asked police officers to stem the rising crime.

“We will not continue losing people in unclear circumstances while police are there. Security officers must beef up security to prevent loss of more lives from attack conducted by gangsters,” said John Maina, a resident of Kaptembwa.

In the latest incident, a body of a man aged 23 was found dumped in Kaptembwa on Sunday.

The body had deep cuts, a clear indication that he was hacked to death by gangs who are terrorizing residents.

Joshua Omukata, area OCPD said police are pursuing the killers.

“The law will not spare anyone. Gangs attacking and killing residents will be arrested and prosecuted,” he said.

Last week, a trader was murdered in Manyani estate.
