Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has faulted President Uhuru Kenyatta saying that the president does not respect the Akamba community at large.
The sentiments from the Wiper Party Deputy Chairperson come just a day after the president concluded his state tour in the region.
Kilonzo said the president manifested a high sense of disrespect for the region by failing to invite their leaders when he toured.
In an exclusive interview with Citizen Radio, Kilonzo said the president showed his disrespect by failing to invite Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka during his 3-day tour in Ukambani.
"When the President visited Nyanza, he welcomed ODM leader Raila Odinga. He also invited top Western Kenya leaders when he visited Kakamega and Bungoma but it's only in Ukambani where he decided not to invite our leaders especially Mr Kalonzo Musyoka," said Kilonzo.
Kilonzo further rubbished the move as political, saying that the visit had nothing in it for the Akamba community at large since their leaders were not involved.
