Kiluka residents, Uasin- Gishu County are complaining over delay of the construction of Chepkero Bridge which had been constructed but later destroyed by heavy rains.
The bridge was to be repaired by the county government but the project has been delayed due to the heavy rains which pose difficulties for construction.
According to Harry Kibet, a resident, the diversion has been used by heavy vehicles which also cause damage to the available mini-bridge.
The residents are now calling for immediate action to be taken by the county government to minimise risks which may be experienced especially during this festive season.
Apart from being used by the working class of the area, the bridge also serves students and pupils who study at Kiluka Primary and Secondary School.
