The two teams won their opening matches of the season, Mathare United beating Thika United as Nzoia Sugar trounced Tusker 

“I am satisfied with the result because it is very difficult to play against a side that keeps dumping the ball in the box. We played with ten men for more than 15 minutes and I think we did well defensively. “The red card was unfortunate but when it comes as a second yellow card you just have to accept it,” he said as quoted on the club’s official Facebook page.
