Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia has hit out at the opposition for forming a National Resistance Movement.
Kimemia dismissed NASA leader Raila Odinga's resistance movement as an empty threat.
Speaking after voting at Nyandundo Primary School in Mirangine on Thursday evening, the Nyandarua Governor noted Kenyans want peace.
"Even in Nyanza...if you ask many youths...they want peace and jobs, not violence," said Kimemia who once served as Interior PS and Secretary to the Cabinet.
"As a person who has been in charge of security, I know our country is stable and threats will not work."
Raila announced on October 25 that NASA had grown into a national resistance movement, saying he will work with the people to protect the constitution.
The Opposition leader reiterated the boycott threat saying there are many ways to kill a cat.
