A Kenyan MP has disowned a viral photo that is doing rounds on social media purporting to show him having a nice time in Rio.

In the viral photo, a drunk 'look-alike' of Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa is seen enjoying a drink tightly holding a white woman in what looks like a nightclub.

The MP however has strongly distanced himself from the photo insisting that it is photoshopped.

In an interview with a local publication, the vocal legislator was quoted saying “that’s photoshop propaganda, am not in Rio. Am in Kenya at parliament now,”

Kenyans on social media have criticised the actions and accused him of wasting the taxpayers money since the photo leaked online.
