Kinanie model health centre in Mavoko constituency, Machakos county is now reaching out for primary and secondary school students aged 14 years and below.
Health officials and students thronged the health centre today for the immunization exercise that started at around 9 am and ended at around 4.30pm.
The on-going measles-rubella campaign is being rolled out country-wide by the ministry of health supported by world health organization.
It targets children aged 11 months to 14 years. Some of the schools located within Kinanie ward that released their students for the measles immunization program include Kinanie primary school, Kinanie secondary school and Sunrise girls high school (41 students).
Kinanie model health centre has been running the measles campaigns since last week Monday 16th.
The immunization exercise is expected to end later this week.
According to reports by ministry of health, the measles-rubella immunization campaign is approximated to cost Sh2 billion.
