Prof Isaiah Iguna Kindiki, the National Super Alliance (NASA) marksman in Mt Kenya East, will get a plum position in government if the opposition alliance ousts President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee Party.
"I will give Prof (Isaiah) one of the top positions in the NASA government after defeating Jubilee in August," promised Musalia Mudavadi on Tuesday.
The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader made the remarks while campaigning for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga at Kathwana Market in Tharaka Nithi County.
Isaiah is the elder brother to Prof Kithure Kindiki, the Senate Majority Leader.
The two are running for the Tharaka Nithi senatorial seat.
Mudavadi urged residents to back ODM's Isaiah and reject Kithure whom he described as a non-performer and a betrayer of the community.
Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama, who was at the same rally rallied support for Isaiah saying he is determined to develop the county.
Muthama accused Senator Kithure of using the poor community to accumulate wealth.
"He was elected overwhelmingly by the residents but neglected them to pursue his personal interests. He has been an impediment to the growth of this county and should be shown the door," he said.
