Speaking on Friday, the Kindiki, the Senate majority leader, vowed to ensure the motion does not see the light of day, further challenging Mong'are to use other avenues of popularising his presidential candidature instead of resorting to unrealistic motions.

"I advise my brother to busy himself with realistic political activities and not fantasy. Such ideas are cheap, mischievous and calculated to seek my colleague the attention he lacks but craves for now that he has said he wants to be the President," Kindiki said as quoted by the Star.

Mong'are seeks to have President Uhuru impeached, arguing that he has grossly violated the constitution under Article 145 for causing unnecessary deaths occasioned by the ongoing doctors' strike currently in its fourth week.

Early this wee, Mong'are launched his bid for the presidency in the 2017 general election.
