Kilifi governor Amason Kingi has renewed his criticism of the Jubilee adminstration, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto of using incentives in a move aimed at blackmailing the Coast region to reelect them during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Tuesday in Rabai, the opposition governor cited issuance of title deeds and relief food as some of the things the Jubilee adminstration is using to win Coast's support.
He further questioned poked holes on President Kenyatta's administration on its track record, saying it has underperformed.
“Jubilee government does not care about us at all since they were not here to help us during calamities. What they are banking on is to give relief food and title deeds which has already been done by the county,” he said.
“I can count my projects and spend months inspecting here in Rabai but do you think Mr. Uhuru and Ruto can even spend an hour here inspecting projects?” he posed.
Kingi rooted for the election of opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, saying he was the only suited candidate to spur the country's growth and development.
