The race for the Kilifi governor seat took a new twist on Sunday after Jubilee Party candidate Gideon Mung'aro received another major endorsement in his bid to oust the incumbent, Amason Kingi.
After chairing a consultative meeting with the members of the GEMA community residing in Kilifi County, Mung'aro was endorsed as the preferred candidate to take care of their interests in the county.Speaking after the endorsement, Mung'aro promised to fight for the rights of the communities if he wins in the August 8 polls, saying that his administration will be an all-inclusive government.According to the Kilifi North MP, his administration will create a conducive working environment for all the parties living and working in the county for the sake of development.Mung'aro has been the busiest gubernatorial aspirant in Kilifi as he cements his political bedrocks in the wake of a looming political battle whose umpire will be the August 8 polls where voters decide. And his latest move to swing the GEMA votes in his favour will no doubt give his bid for the county top seat a fresh impetus.
