Allegations of misappropriation of county funds by the Auditor General Edward Ouko have put Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi on the defense yet again.
While appearing before the Senate Public Accounts and Investments Committee on Friday, Kingi said he had provided enough evidence and attached necessary documents to show how the money was spent.
According to the ODM Governor, most of the audit queries that had been raised by Ouko in his report for the year ending 2015 had been answered.
However, he noted that he is willing to provide answers in case there are more queries.
Kingi had been invited by the committee to shed light on the purchase of an x-ray machine at a cost of Sh3.9 million from a firm which had no experience in the same.
The Governor is expected to appear again before the committee on Tuesday to clear all the pending queries.
Kilifi County Government has been on the spotlight over the past few months amid corruption allegations with the Governor's political rivals calling for his resignation.
Already, the Sh51 million scandal is currently handled by the courts with much of the stolen money said to have been recovered.
