Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho have affirmed they will not allow the Jubilee government to rig votes in the Coast region during the August elections.

Kingi, who was addressing ODM supporters on Sunday, said he will pitch tents in different parts of the region alongside Joho to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto do not retain power after the election.

The governor called upon supporters of NASA leader Raila Odinga to be vigilant and protect their votes in a bid to ensure Jubilee has no room for rigging the polls.

"I want to urge every supporter to identify a polling station and adopt it to ensure that our rivals do not have an avenue for rigging the elections," said Kingi, as quoted by The Star.

The county boss also said that the opposition has kicked off campaigns that will ensure Jubilee goes home, adding that he will work with Joho to ensure Raila’s presidential dream becomes a reality.

"The journey has officially begun. Together with my Mombasa colleague we will ensure that Jubilee does not get a single vote from this region," he added.
