Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has revealed his preferred National Super Alliance (NASA) Candidate.
Kingi said Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is the best candidate the opposition should front to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August elections.Speaking during the International Women's Day celebrations on Wednesday, Kingi said Raila should be NASA's flag bearer, as he will ensure that all Kenyans realise the fruits of devolution if he ascends to power.The governor said that some citizens will not salivate while others are eating meat as President Uhuru Kenyatta once put it. "President Uhuru Kenyatta said Kenyans will salivate. Raila will share the meat equally. Let us just swallow saliva for the remaining six months," he said, as quoted by The Star. The governor also said that the opposition is well prepared for the next general polls adding that Jubilee leaders have no reason to push them to name their flag bearer."As NASA family, we are ready for the elections. We want to know and be assured whether IEBC is prepared for the same," he said. The outspoken governor further asked the ruling party to start preparing to leave office. "Jubilee should not panic. Let them get bags and pack their properties in readiness to leave by August," said Kingi.
