After days of sustained onslaught from President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee Party brigade at the Coast and particularly against ODM stalwarts in the region, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has swiftly moved to neutralize the ground.
Speaking in Kilifi on Thursday, Kingi who is on a charm offensive to cement the opposition coalition's political bedrock ahead of the August poll accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of not being sincere in his development agenda in the county.
According to the Governor, whereas they welcome the President's development in the county, the whole process has been politicized.
"Where was Jubilee government to launch these projects four years ago when they came into power? Why now? This is pure politics that is meant to get Kilifi votes," Kingi said.
The defiant Governor who who has crippled Jubilee Party's agenda to make inroads in Kilifi asked the residents to fully embrace the newly-formed NASA coalition which he says will sweep the current regime out of power come August.
Kingi further accused President Kenyatta of wedging propaganda war against some Coast Governors who have vowed not to buy into Jubilee Party lies even as he defended his development record in the county which the President brought into scrutiny while on his tour of the region.
