Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has said President Uhuru Kenyatta's reign is about to end, as he will not be re-elected in August.

Addressing residents during the International Women's Day on Wednesday, Kingi said the opposition will take over power come August.The governor added that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga will ensure resources are distributed equally across the 47 counties if elected to power.“President Uhuru Kenyatta said Kenyans will salivate. Raila will share the meat equally. Let us just swallow saliva for the remaining six months," he said, as quoted by The Star. The governor also downplayed allegations that leaders from the opposition are not prepared for the upcoming elections, adding that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) should inform Kenyans whether it is ready to conduct fair polls. "As NASA family, we are ready for the elections. We want to know and be assured whether IEBC is prepared for the same," he said.Kingi and his Mombasa Counterpart Hassan Joho have affirmed that they will rally the Coast region behind the opposition, to ensure Jubilee does not retain power.
