Kilifi governor Amason Kingi received a delegation from representatives of the Mazeras market traders and the Board of Management of Dr Krapf Memorial Secondary School led by Rabai-Kisurutini MCA Anthony Kenga Mupe.
Top in the agenda was to shade more light on why the Mazeras market construction was yet to commence, and coming up with more ways of tightening ties as a government and the people of Rabai-Kisurutini.
The Mazeras market serves more than 700 traders.
Kingi said it was in the County's best of interest to ensure all the traders work in a modern and secure trading center to conduct their businesses.
"As a government, we have already written to the National Land Commission and have already dispatched a team to conduct a land valuation exercise for the market," Kingi said, Monday.
"We have however made the necessary plans to ensure not a single trader is evacuated from the market until the valuation is complete and a solution reached," he added.
He later received a courtesy call from regional heads of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut).
"My administration is working closely with Knut to ensure we improve the educational standards in Kilifi County," he said.
